When I asked Josh about the designs he said. "The Production Designer François Audouy wanted a sleek and high tech design that was functional as well.  I drew inspiration from concept cars and motorcycles, the comic designs, a bit of anime mechs and of course samurai armor.  It was a fun design to work on – I hope they make a cool figure of it!"

Here's what it looked like in the film.

Now, here's the concept art.

By the way, here's the very uncool action figure Hasbro put out.

  1. That almost resembles the big mech in 'Thor.' I haven't seen 'The Wolverine' just yet, but I will eventually. However, I do think Wolverine may be a little over-exposed.

  2. Wow, that concept art is amazing, especially when you see how closely the final product matched. But that action figure is a joke not even close. I suspect they made the action figure without consulting with the movie.
